Colorado Big Sky is a 40 Landscape Art Quilt. This is a 40 by 19 (paper) original watercolor painting matted for a 48 by 27 frame . This is a Southwest mountain scene painted as a panorama of a Colorado Big Sky landscape. My husband Dale and I love to drive through the ranch country of southern Colorado. The spirit of the American West is bound up in the land… wide open spaces, big skies, cattle and horses. Dale took this dramatic sky photo in late summer, west of Alamosa. I added the horses and ranch house. Aahh, if we were only 20 years younger, riding across this spread... it\'s an American \"old west\" dream. It quiets my spirit.
