Colorado Country Road is a 24 by 18 Landscape Art Quilt. The artist was returning from Phoenix, flying into Durango. Driving from the Durango Airport out to highway 160, she spotted this old fence with a large thistle and a bird perched beside it on the fencepost. The San Juan mountains and foothills loomed behind, calmed by the open fields. The very next day she made a pencil sketch from memory and painted this art work watercolor landscape from my sketch.
