Welcome to the unique original fine art galleries of Colorado artist Jeanine Malaney. The artist's work is displayed in many original art galleries differentiated by media as well as geographic denomination.

For decades, Americans have been enamored with modern art, while traditional fine art has been overshadowed. Today the art world is rediscovering the traditional classics, and representationalism is taking the art world by storm; previously forgotten classics soar in value. Today’s movement toward realism is blossoming world wide as people discover a desire to return to art’s classical roots.
Non-objective painting is not a better form of expression than realism. Modern art has been a tangent not a progression from traditonal art. Both are valid forms of expression. Jeanine's style is representational, yet with a contemporary flare being big and bold and emphasizing the play of light. She explores themes of wildlife, ranch and Indian traditions, and the unique landscapes of the West.

Original Oil Paintings

This alla prima artist uses an oil painting technique that begins with blocking in large shapes and identifying the play of light and dark. Jeanine builds the image in layers with each additional layer of paint being a bit oilier than the layer below, to allow proper drying. Jeanine varnishes within a few days or waits six months; either method allows for proper drying without damaging the paint layers.
